Advice: Older siblings always make me feel like a child at 18?

I am the youngest of 8 children- yes my parents really had these many kids! Anyways, I am 17 years old- turning 18 in two months and starting university in the fall. I hate being the youngest of so many siblings, because I am always made to feel like a child! For example, I would never be able date because my siblings would prob seek out the guy and stop me haha. My parents also seem to treat me younger than my 7 older siblings (one of them is 19!) I feel like this makes me lose confidence, and makes me feel like a forever child. Any advice for me to feel more independent and my own age?

You'll always get the "little sister" thing. Just act mature like you're the boss of yourself.
