Where has more woodland , Hertfordshire or Surrey ?

    The answer, these days, may well be Surrey. I grew up in a green, leafy Hertfordshire, surrounded by bluebell woods and hilly heathland, all now gone.

    Surrey especially around the Surrey Hills. There is a vast wooded area called the Hurtwood not far from villages like Holmbury St Mary.
