Why does Oberlin College owe $33 million to a bakery? Those kids get dumber the more they go to school.?

That school has always attracted whack-a-doodles: students, faculty, administration. Their joy is being weird. They have apparently felt left-out with other idiots getting all the headlines lately......so they cooked-up their little protest to get some headlines (taken a cue from Jussie Smollett, Al Sharpton, et al).
Of course, the college and personnel are undoubtedly insured . . . . but that tiny blip-on-the-map college has an endowment of over $900 millions. Why? Why aren't those far left libs giving some of those many millions to the good causes they want to raise everyone's taxes for instead of hoarding it all (while raising tuitions to some of the highest in the country)? Typical two-faced BS artists.

If you're asking this as a serious question, the college lost a lawsuit to the bakery. The college had stopped doing business with the bakery and students had protested and boycotted the establishment after a shoplifting incident led to claims of racism.
The protests were probably an overreaction and Oberlin administrators put themselves in a bad position by formally supporting the boycott. But IMO, I believe a $33 million award is also an overreaction. And while the students and school probably treated the bakers unjustly, the case does bring up serious questions regarding the First Amendment.
Speaking of questions, can you explain what "Those kids get dumber the more they go to school.?" is asking?

It was the leadership that was so foolish, if it was just students no money would have been applied.

They actively participated in spreading falsehoods about the establishment. All they had to do was stay out of it, but no, the SJW siren song pulled them in.

Because that college participated in a witch hunt based off of lies. Similar how evergreen college operated a few years back. Their professors and the schools Vice President all were involved in it.

Because Oberlin College was spreading lies about the bakery that affected the Bakery's business.
