How do we know there was an ice age?

Geological evidence for ice ages comes in various forms, including rock scouring and scratching, glacial moraines, drumlins, valley cutting, and the deposition of till or tillites and glacial erratics.

We are still in an ice age. Currently we are enjoying an interglacial period, but that is not likely to last.
Previous ice ages are evidenced by evidence of lowered sea levels and the movement of large boulders by huge glaciers where none are now present.
