How to bring rifle into gun exchange for sale?

Do I walk in and tell them first and then go out and get it? Do I need it locked? Can I just walk in right away with it, obviously in a non aggressive manner?

You unload it, you stick it in a case or the box it came in. You walk in and immediately go to the gun counter and tell them you want to sell it. You are more likely to sell it at a pawn shop that deals in guns. DO NOT take it out of the box until you have talked to them and made your intentions clear. They may want to take it out of the box or case themselves so let them.

Guns are not dangerous and will never be banned.

Ask them how they'd like you to bring in your firearm. Follow-up question: when did we get to the point where people need to ask strangers online how to behave?
