What are some reasons to not see a functional doctor outside of having to pay cash to see one?

Functional medicine encompasses a range of unproven pseudoscientific treatments which have little or no evidence of efficacy. It is typically practised by people with no medical qualifications. That should reason enough.

I would prefer a good naturopath. It is the same difficulty fo find a good common doctor - there are good and there are bad one.
