The first one probably would have been dropped on Nuremberg, where the huge Nazi Party rallies were held in the 1930s.

None of them, as no country in Europe, & not even the U.S.S.R. would allow its use on the continent.

I honestly don't think it would have been used on Germany. While not a lot was understood about long term consequences, enough was to make it an unattractive choice for the use of such a weapon. The war in Europe had been pretty well mapped out by Dec. 1943 by Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt.

It's not a history question either. "What if... " questions are irrelevant to history. History is only about what did happen, not what might have happened if something else had happened that didn't happen.

Good question, but it depends on how early the A-bomb would have been ready. The Ruhr area would have been the early choices. Maybe Berlin, but probably not Dresden as it was basically a transportation hub which had military value but wasn't on the top of the list.

Doubtful as the collapse of Germany was Obvious and may countries were involved

Berlin obviously, Dresden, but that was fire-bombed and they killed more ppl than an atom bomb would have done. The Ruhr, industrial area. Koln. Munich.etc

Berlin was the main prize, but by then there weren't many cities that were unscathed. It may well have been Dresden, which in this scenario would not have been destroyed by conventional bombing. The reality was that no target was selected because it wasn't going to be necessary.

However, even if it had limped on, it is possible that the first strike would still have been against Japan - this was untried technology and the failure of the bomb would have been easier to get away with than in Europe.
