What is the molarity of a NaNO3 solution made by diluting 250mL of a 1.60M solution to a final volume of 400.mL?

Looking to double check my work. I'm a new Chemistry student but I believe the answer is .96M.

    Whenever you have a dilution problem like this use the dilution equation:

    M1V1 = M2V2

    M1*400mL = 1.60M * 250mL

    M1 = 1.60M * 250mL / 400mL

    M1 = 1.00M

    (250 mL x 1.60 M) / (400 mL) = 1.00 M
