That may simply be it switching on and off, it's automatic power saving mode when nothing is playing through it. According to the manual that happens after ten minutes of silence & no button presses.
If it's doing it other than that, it could be power supply noise from the PC or whatever it is connected to; if you are using an analog connection, any load variations in the source device can cause electrical noise.
Try listening with headphones instead of the sound bar on, using the same output from whatever & see if the pops are still audible - if they are, it's not the fault of the sound bar.
