In western culture, parents tend to make one of their children or all of their children wear corrective socks that would bunch the toes together so that their toes would fit in the coloured toes area of the socks as they get older. I don’t understand why this tradition was even put in there the first place just so the toes would all fit the coloured toes area. I’d assume this action has also caused them to have big, curvy leg calves as they get older.

Also, is there a link between this whole corrective socks thing and brands like ASICS and Sketchers being tailored for these people?
