F = (9/5) * C + 32

124.3 = (9/5) * C + 32

92.3 = (9/5) * C

92.3 * (5/9) = C

92.3 * 10/18 = C

923/18 = C

900/18 + 18/18 + 5/18 = C

50 + 1 + 2.5/9 = C

51 + (5/9) / 2 = C

51 + 0.5555555.... / 2 = C

51 + 0.2777777777.... = C

51.2777777.... = C

51.28 = C

K = C + 273.15

K = 51.27777.... + 273.15

K = 324.4277777....

K = 324.4

(124.3 F - 32 )*(5/9) =51.28 °C

51.28 °C + 273.15 = 324.4 K

LOL -- Nonetheless, with a little bit of algebra, CM could have streamlined the solution considerably, like only a one line of math.

C = (F - 32) / 1.8 ..... solve F = 1.8C + 32 for Celsius

C = (124.3 - 32) / 1.8 = 51.28C
