What can I do to improve my chances to be chosen as an OCS candidate?

I want to be a officer in the Army National guards.

Well, for starters, you could learn the actual name of the organization. Hint, there's no "s" at the end of it.

The Guard gets most of its officers from its own enlisted as well as from active duty officers transitioning.

Be spiffy, do everything correctly and on time.

Prove you can command, and train others..

Don't volunteer, but don't grouse or refuse.
