DVLA/Driving help (medical)?

On 28th April 2019, I suffered a seizure. Last week it was confirmed that i don’t have epilepsy and it looks to be a one off.

I have contacted the DVLA as the doctor told me he can’t advise whether i’m allowed to drive or not. The DVLA have turned round and said it’s down to my doctor whether I can drive or not.

I have got the letter with two options;

1. Volunteer to revoke my license for six months

2. Have DVLA investigate medically and they decide whether or not they revoke my license.

What do I do? I’m really confused. I need my car desperately.

    This is not rocket science. Take the letter to your doctor or ask the DVLA to investigate if he refuses to issue a statement to you that says you do not have epilepsy.

    Option 2 seems to be the way forward. Let's face it if you have a seizure on a motorway you may take others with you. So bite the bullet and do the right thing.
