Does boxing require strength training?

    Yes, it is important but it is not good to be too muscle-bound in boxing. The greatest boxers were rarely also the strongest physically.

    of course boxing requires evrything !! ...but most importantly it requires heart ...they say the fighting game is

    Boxing training "IS" strength training. It was unheard of for the old timers to EVER touch weights. The ones that did were considered crazy. But as requirement running every day and knowing the fundamentals e.g. chin ALWAYS tucked relaxed at ALL times and hands being up is useless if you don't use them e.g. I would literally pull down fighters gloves when they covered up and crack them with other hand. Once K.O'd. opponent that way.

    Strength, stamina, ability and also heart. You have to give any sport you're ALL. This is especially true for combat sports. Somebody is a actually trying to HURT you. So must have heart.

    Look at the physique of most boxers--men and women--they look pretty well developed, with definition and six-packs

    It will do, but it'll requires more stamina than just strength
