Garlic, oil and egg sauce - middle eastern?

Okay, there is a white sauce served in some middle-eastern eateries, like Ali-Babas, made predominantly from oil, minced garlic and egg. I've tried looking it up and I've found some places calling it toom or toum, but I feel like I've heard a different name for it.
