Why hasn’t navy federal repossessed my car it’s been over a year ?

I fell behind on payments do to work related stuff not sure if I could still change the registration on the car or what I’m just curious why didn they ever come and get it ?

    They don't know where the car is and chasing you around is a waste of even more money.

    Why would you change the registration? They will get around to repossessing it. Perhaps, they are waiting to see if you turn it in.

    if it's been a year, depending on what you owed on it, they may have just written it off.

    they have the title to the car, so you can't sell it.

    Well, let's say you owe $5,000 on a car worth only $2,500. The total cost of repo might exceed the value they could get for the car at auction. So they might instead just try to get you to start making payments again.
