Where do used tyres get recycled in Australia what happens to most old tyres?

    Somebody also tried dumping them in a big pile in shallow ocean waters to make an artificial reef. Never heard what came of that or if it's still being done.

    there is a tyre recycling factory in Toowoomba . The tyres get turned into a oil .

    They're brought to 3rd world places like The Philippines, Vietnam or Thailand where they are recycled into affordable slippers.

    In the U.S. If recycled, they become floor mats, or are crushed/crumbled to use in pavements.
