Yellow crookneck squash. They are delicious when lightly sauteed in butter, or broiled for a short time. Try mixing them into your veggie kabobs on the grill, with some mushrooms, zucchini, and peppers. They pair well with chicken, ESPECIALLY on the grill (noms).
You can even peel them, and serve them raw with dip, just like cucumber. The flavor will be different (obviously) but there is nothing wrong with that.
Basically, anything you can do with a zucchini, you can do with yellow crookneck squash.
