How do you pronounce English word of female hero - 'heroin'? Not same as the drug?

    It's pronounced the same. You can just say hero for either. English doesn't use gendered nouns. All those terms are archaic.

      By "sexually gendered" I mean nouns where the thing is a living organism, thus its physical gender is obvious. In many other languages inanimate objects have gender - for instance, in French the sun is masculine, the moon is feminine; in German the opposite applies.
