Can depression be treated without medicines & professional help?

    Sure. There's tons of self-help books, youtube videos, friendly articles etc.

    It is often helpful to have someone who actually knows what they are doing send you off in the right direction, tho.

    Depends on the cause of the depression. If its chemical imbalance (what chemical you're lacking) or environmental. I know a few people who take saint John's wart. It's an herb supplement that you can get over the counter literally everywhere. They take that to help with depression and it works for them.

    Careful mixing supplements and medication though if you're on anything else. Some supplements can either negate meds or increase the potency.
