What happens to someone whose not selected for Special Forces?

Hi, my sister in-law's boyfriend was in Special Forces training and he was not selected to move forward into the more advanced training. I am curious as to what happens to him now? Will he be able to reapply to Special Forces or is he disqualified for good? Thanks for answering!

Well he gets sent back to his pack!

The Boy Scouts of America Special section selection is getting Tougher each year!

Go back to a line company.

He will be sent back to his old MOS/job and reassigned someplace to do that. With most of these it's a one time thing so if you wash out then you are done.

He gets, use to be, two weeks leave and sent back to his old unit.

Depends on circumstances of his exit and where he was at in training if he can recycle.

It depends-- if he finished SFAS and was non selected, he was told during the exit interview why he was a non select and if if was allowed to apply again in the future or not allowed.

He if DORed SFAS, then he is no longer allowed to apply in the future.

so he knows if he can reapply or not, ask him.

    He can try again.

A lot depends on WHY he was not advanced. If it was due simply to not being sufficiently physically fit - which is common - then he can probably reapply after improving his fitness level. If it was something more problematical then he probably needs to reconsider what he wants to do in the Army.
