I’ve had ingrown toenail for 3-4 years?

I’ve had ingrown toenail on both my big toes on both sides for over 3 years. I’ve went to surgically remove the ingrown part but it grows back in after 6 months. I’ve visited the foot doctor now for a year and a half and they don’t understand either why it keeps growing in. We’ve tried so many methods to keep it stable but it just never helps. I’m absolutely hopeless and miserable, maybe somebody can help?

Need to apply PHENOL when the nail is removed, kills the nail matrix.

Did they do the surgery with the silver nitrate, where they burn it so it doesn't grow back..?

And also, is it the same surgeon who removes them? If so, go to a different doctor and have it permanently done again.

Amputate. Simple no toe, no problem.
