Do GOP economics work if everyone has a living wage?

or are they based on half living in poverty? I can tell you food stamps, medicaid, welfare and Section 8 are all big businesses. I rent 4 apartments worth no more than $700 in a free market to Section 8 recipients for $1100 and YOU pay more than 3/4's of they rent!

True GOP economics are based on the idea that a person who is paying less in taxes will in turn have more money to invest into the US economy. So the amount of tax dollars collected decreases, but the value of those dollars from a productive and strong economy is increased.

But then along came Reagan, a man who (if you looked hard enough) had big banking's hand up his butt. Reagan shifted the idea from "all Americans" to "the ultra wealthy Americans". Basically Reagan was a goddamn tool.

@David: Flat-tax rates sound good in theory, but history shows they never work out. 20% of a retirees paycheck will do a great deal more harm to them than 20% of a billionaires will do to them.

No, it's no fun being rich if other people aren't suffering and dying for not being rich. That makes them feel somehow special, even though every very rich person I ever met was a dolt that got lucky.

Poor people are poor, mostly because they make bad decisions.

Wages are based upon the value of the work you do ,,,,,,,, not how much you think you deserve .

Under Obama we had a record number of people on welfare.

Under president Trump we have the best economy since 1969, and lowest minority unemployment in US history.
