Drivers education question?

Do I need to take a drivers education course if I took a course for drivers ed but did not complete the whole course, but have a permit, to get my drivers license?

Thank you.

This is for NC.

That depends entirely on where you live, which you kind of totally forgot to say.

You don't get credit for a course you didn't complete, though.

Are you ******* kidding me? You need to complete a course. Look up the definition of "complete".

I don't know what your state laws are but most states don't require a driver's ed course. It's usually you take a written test to get your learner's permit, practice with a licensed driver, then take a road test to get your driver's license. It is a good idea to do a driver's ed course and get a certificate. Most insurances reduce your rates if you take it. I remember getting a discount for taking driver's ed and having good grades.
