Can a minor watch an R rated movie if their older (20 year old) adult sibling is with them?

Cinemark over here in Texas says a minor can watch a movie if their parent is with them but they don't say much else. Has anyone tried this?

Yes, the guidelines is just that a guideline for parents, there is no law or any way to enforce it, most theaters do not care, and neither should they, just go and buy two tickets and enjoy the movie.

No, it needs to be a parent or an older adult.

If their sibling is their legal guardian, it's okay.

i'm sure it's okay if the theater says it is.

Yeah but thing is, I don't know if the theater is okay with it and being denied there would be pretty embarassing and a waste of time.
