Which hotels on the Las Vegas strip are the most fun? (Not necessarily most expensive ;-)?

Update:

it's my first time going and I just don't know where to stay. Help!

I would stay at one centrally located so you can walk everywhere. Rooms are rooms, really. You can wander all the resorts and casinos easily and see what they have, you dont have to stay there. We just stayed at the new NoMad which was kinda fun, it looks a bit like the 1930's. But really most of the hotels the rooms are all pretty generic. The Venetian Group rooms are the largest.

I agree with Diane. Pick a hotel centrally located on the strip and walk around to each of them to get a feel for what they have to offer.

I like the Cosmo because of it's great location and because of the many places to sit around watching the people show. I especially enjoy watching the bachelorette parties in their special swag.

Pretty much all of the strip hotels have slots and gaming tables.

Flamingo and Tropicana still have the old-school Vegas feel. Planet Hollywood has a great party vibe. Cosmo is also good for young people. MGM and Mandalay have great pools. Venetian has all suites, and there is a great mall there and also at Caesars. NYNY has my favorite casino floor, and a fun coaster and arcade.

What do you mean by 'the most fun'? Best nightclubs? Pools? Themed? Shows? Attractions?

Venetian...has real gondolas you can ride in.

Luxor...has elevators that go a bit sideways.

    Bellagio...has spectacular water fountain show.
