    It is not incorrect. You could say, "Why are you so exhausted?" or "What makes you so exhausted?" but your first sentence is clear and precise.

    Why are you so exhausted? What causes some people to be exhausted? I really can't see anything wrong in what you are saying. ;-)

    There's nothing wrong with this, but a simplification is: Why are you so tired?
