What does it mean to be feminine? "Less feminine" compared to what?To when? To where?
EDIT: "Feminine" means 'having qualities or an appearance traditionally associated with women." Which still doesn't answer MY question. How are YOU defining it? At various times and places, 'feminine' women have shaved their heads , covered their hair, worn a wide range of clothing styles, (including those that cover nearly everything and those that REVEAL nearly everything) been sold into slavery, been harnessed to plows, stretched their necks and lips with rings and plates, gone into convents .. the list goes on.
And too -- what time frame IS being discussed? By the time I was in school in the 1960's, pants were common for women and girls.
