How does the Aurora interact with the other system components?

Earth system consists of several subsystems (hydrosphere & cryosphere, biosphere, atmosphere and geosphere).

    The aurora (Northern Lights and Southern Lights) mostly occur in the thermosphere. The thermosphere is directly above the mesosphere and below the exosphere. Aurora borealis are more pronounced during solar storms.
