Does drinking baking soda before workout gives energy?

    nope, at best its an antacid.

    What workout are you doing? weights/resistance I'd suggest some caffeine maybe a cup of coffee, for a longer cardio session maybe some sugar if its over an hour or so but that would be taken during to prevent hitting the wall.

    No, I find drinking water with a huge spoon of soy protein powder stirred in provides bunches of energy.

    No, if you are going to already have your heart rate going up you do not need anything that will make it go up anymore. Seems like that would put too much on your heart.
