Lasagna is time-consuming but easy. It has basic ingredients and you can use almost anything you want (ground beef, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, eggplant, onions, peppers, etc.) it requires only baking, and has no precise doneness level.
Croissants are difficult. Souffles are fussy and temperamental. Seafood of all types is easily overcooked. Bernaise and Hollandaise sauces are tricky not to curdle .Incorrectly-prepared blowfish will kill you. Lasagna is a piece of cake.
