why would a man still refuse to tell the truth when you catch him with your own eyes cheating?

    His pride won't allow it.

Some people with no conscience or morals will do this. It's called gaslighting, and it's pretty scary to experience. You could literally catch them in bed with another woman, have a huge fight about it, and they'll come home a few hours later and pretend that nothing happened. This kind of person has a form of psychopathy. There is something wrong with the parts of their brain that create empathy and caring for other people. They are very good at pretending to be caring, and pretending to be in love, so they often do have several girlfriends at one time, and can be very convincing to each of them. If you try to break it off with them, they will become very dramatic and do seem to be terrified of losing you (though they do the same performance if any of their other girlfriends tries to leave them, too). It's very creepy. Just consider yourself lucky that you found out about their behavior. Be aware that they have no chance of changing; there is something wrong with their brains that is not fixable, and you will have to find the courage to leave. Most people are not like this, so the chances of you finding true love with another man are very good :)

Because he doesn't respect you the way you don't respect him.

cause he thinks u is a fool. In fact, it's been shown that people tend to accuse their accusers of what they're doing as a way to deflect blame and guilt.Once The Truth About The Cheating Comes Out, It Means The End Of This Game:He knows without a doubt that you will be hurt, angry, and demand that his actions stop immediately. He isn't ready to give up the game. So he's not going to give you the ammunition to stop it.
