Well, the idea came from a Brit in the song "Imagine" and if has been fooling young people ever since. Finally got to be a sufficient number of the foolish to affect government and, in turn, the culture. The fact is that globalism/socialism does not raise people up, but does pull people down. The irony of it is that it is actually a return to the old system before the industrial revolution when capitalism did lift up the average person. Globalization is like the past cultures in that it creates two classes of people in a society. The haves and have nots. The haves run everything, and the modern wrinkle to it is to give the have nots a sufficient amount to keep them complacent. What was removed was the ability to move between classes, and, in fact, create a 3rd class of people, the middle class.
