Why do so many Americans enjoy being blatantly lied to by media, ‘educators’, mainstream medicine, TrumpGOP, etc? Is it just entertaining?

Trump/"truth" is easier to believe than fact.

There is a difference between lies and people who say things for their own benefit, as do media, educators, mainstream medicine, Trump, GOP, and others. Americans mostly are smart enough to take statements by such organizations and people with a grain of salt, realizing those people have a personal interest in wanting to convince you of one thing or another for their own good.

It's mainly Ignorance, but we are being psychologically manipulated and be totally unaware of it. It's a matter of free will and CHOOSING which media you look at for data and information. Data is not the same thing as information. HOW some one interprets data can be VERY different between different individuals. Many people do not know when they are being misinformed either intentionally or UNintentionally about anything. I didn't take the time to check the date of a source some one used on an answer more than 12 hours ago on a science question, but I would not be surprised if the source was 10 or more years old and was outdated. Science Live is usually reliable source, but it is NOT the original source.
You really should have multiple sources for information. Cable Fox News has relatively new owners, Disney. Disney also owns ABC. All Faux News seems to care about is the number of viewers, not whether those are paying attention or not. CNN is still broadcasting despite the ratings.Source(s): If you want to argue about who provides your local weather information, the CBS or NBC or commercial Fox or ABC affiliates or the Weather Channel, fine. It is YOUR valuable time to choose to waste arguing with other people, but maybe you should be getting in a closet be fore that tornado over there gets here.
