Would it be rude to send a thoughtless thank you card back to the sender with a note telling them "Learn to write a thank you letter"?

I got a thank you letter from a neighbor for her graduation that just said "Thank you for the gift". And this is considering the fact I attended her party and gave her money to begin with.

Update:

And sending a thoughtless note is okay?

You are lucky you even got that. I went to a bridal shower 8 months ago and still haven't received a Thank you note

I would not do that. At least she sent you a note. She thanked you.

Yes, it would be rude. Just because she is rude doesn't give you the Right to be rude back. Drop it.

And you are SOOO OFFENDED at her tiny little thank you note, that you just feel you have to get all nasty with her hmm? What a lame little snowflake you must be! Get over it and grow up.

It would be incredibly rude - as I hope you realise.

She said 'thank you'. That's being polite.

    The wording wasn't important.

It wasn't thoughtless - just perhaps not what YOU would have written.

    It doesn't matter.

To be very rude in response is appalling!
