Why is it often so hard for anorexics to admit they have a problem?

,I think that anorexia usually occur in young people aged 18-30 ,they are on diet and gradually suffer from anorexia ,anorexia is called the abnormal health disorder ,I think that anorexic should have the body checked out by professional specialists ,,continued anorexia will lead to malnutrition ,affect growth

They don't see the problem. They see the fat, even when it's not there. It is a mental condition.

Its the same with any mental disorder, if they were able to recognise and admit that they had a problem, they wouldn't have a problem in the first place.

Because they have the sexiest bodies! And they can fit into smaller places! And they don’t have to waste all that money on expensive nutrients! And when they die their relatives get to save money by buying smaller caskets/urns. It’s a win win situation
