Has Nvidia ever lowered prices on a video card?

    They do but usually not much. Maybe $20-30 cheaper from time to time.

    Yes, when they get older especially when replaced by a newly released model.

    Nvidia graphics cards are generally manufactured and sold by other companies, at whatever prices they & the retailers decide to charge. The main chip is from nvidia but everything else it up to that maker.

    Prices can vary tremendously from one maker to another, for a card with identical specs on paper.

    Examples - same spec card, £100 difference from make to make.

    And the GTX1070 was over £600 when first released..

    they do it all the time..... you cant even buy a old gpu for launch price if its more than 2 gens back
