Should parliaments be the sovereign law makers?

Please help me answer this for my essay. Why do you think parliaments should remain to be the sovereign law maker instead of giving the role to the executive or judiciary.

    Because parliaments are composed of many people who will debate the issues and vote on a proposal, rather than having just one person making the rules.

    Members of a parliament or legislature are accountable to the public who elected them.
