Use a properly designed Hydrogen-alpha telescope and you can gaze at the Sun all you want. It's fascinating

Gazing directly or almost directly into the sun is dangerous. Use a pinhole camera instead.

    No, definitely not.

not really. especially without the proper eye protection. it causes more harm. but while sun gazing with proper eye care, and not out in the sun too long, you can get a good dose of vitamin d.

Not if you do it with care

    No, not in any way.

Go out & get some sun, but don't stare *at* the sun... Did you ever take a magnifying glass to focus the sun's light to burn sticks & leaves...? That's what the lens in your eye is doing to your retina when you look at the sun.

Other than a little vitamin D, it isn't healthy. To LOOK at the sun, will permanently damage your eyes without the right filtering.

No, unless you want your eyes damaged.

You can use hydrogen alpha filters or project the Sun onto a plain surface like a piece of paper, in which case that's quite harmless.
