Federal money for the rich is capitalism.
Federal money for the poor is socialism.

That's a turn-around for you. America really is 40% owned by the government already, and has about the same percentage of workers in the country working for the government too. So America already is almost half socialist. Ties between the federal government and certain corporations, whether official or the result of lobbying, also leads in the direction of socialism, such as in Brazil where the government owns Petrobras, which controls all the petroleum industry of the nation.

The USA is capitalist until it's time to give farmers 30 billion dollars in welfare and give car companies billions in bail outs. The USA is a socialist country when it comes to bailing out big business and corporations.
