Many seem to shy from Tasco, They are made in Japan, not China, and of quality glass and optics.
Grouped with the cheaper of scopes, I find them quite worthy and fixed low power for closer ranges as good as the high buck scopes.
Variable power has its good an bad points, More moving parts and lenses making cost higher.
Zoom out to like 22X you can sight a silver dollar at 1000 yards. The better scopes with larger aperture usually have a wider field of view, good for moving targets.
Last scope I bought was to replace a 30X Tasco for shooting 500 yards and over and went with a used NightForce, 6-25X56. That was at a gun show and $975,,More than both guns I use the scope on.
A new equivalent sells for $3000, so go figure.
A new reticle I like better and a happy camper with the nightforce.
