Counting the number of ordered partitions of k. For example :

Each term is a layer of springs. That means there are 9 arrangements of 4 springs. So we need a formula. For the number of such partitions. I’ll be back.

The 9 should be an 8. For n springs I will proof there are 2^(n-1) compositions.
