What would be the simplest way to interupt the battery connection let's say at 10KHz, simplest meaning without using audio amp or similar?

Update:

Is there a simple relay that can do that at 10KHz?

Update 2:

Power to be drawn ~1KW/h

SCR IS THE MOST SIMPLE PARTS TO BE USED AS A HIGH SPEED SWITCH TO TURN ON AND OFF A DC POWER SOURCE.

With a DC source, and SCR will latch on. Getting it to turn off while carrying a large DC current can be quite a trick.

A power FET will do this. Depending on current and voltage, you may need one or many power FETs. You also need to ensure that inductive spikes are suppressed.

As Bill states, 1 kW/h is a meaningless parameter.

no, relays can't operate that fast. You need power transistors of some sort driven by the proper signal.

1KW/h is a meaningless unit. kW•hr is a unit of energy, not power. What is the power? More important, what is the voltage and current?
