why are there crop circles all over Texas?

Not just Texas, we have them in Arizona also. Circles are easier to irrigate than rectangle fields.

I think they're trying to fit in with other states.

It's those extraterrestrials again. Lots of open space for crash landings, if needed; diverse urban centers where you can get a wide variety of people for alien abductions--to do medical evaluations, etc.; you can see bad weather coming making it easier to land your spacecraft before it hits and so on. So all in all, many benefits.

because they use circular irrigation systems

Those aren't crop circles. They are from irrigation pivots.

I blame the aliens, illegal or otherwise.
