can i use a pocket wifi in korea from a different country?

im from the philippines travelling to korea, if i own a pocket wifi from a philippine brand can i use the pocket wifi in korea or will the connection not work?

    You will need unlock the phone. You might get away with buying a different sim card. Looking on line I see about 6 phones that will work both places by changing the sim card.

    No, it won't work. Your device is programmed to pick up signals from the Philippines network. Buy an egg when you get here or switch your SIM card out for a Korean one and use whatever WiFi you can pick up.

    Check out the coverage map of the pocket wii manufacturer. I have a Skyroam, and I've used in in various Caribbean islands, Japan, Portugal, Gibraltar, and Spain with no problems.
