But using implants to replace missing teeth, either individually or as dentures which attach to implanted studs is now a commonplace procedure but it varies uniquely with every patient. As you must also be aware, many patients simply lack the bone quality in either mandible to allow the use of implants, and others have other pathologies which mandate against implants.
Depending upon the degree of partial edentulism, the location of the remaining teeth and their condition it can be that it is better to remove the remaining teeth so that a single (structurally stronger) denture can be attached to the mandible.
