    .

    ( a )

    BD = AD / tan(49°) = 60.0 / tan(49°)

    DC = AD / tan(53°) = 60.0 / tan(53°)

    w = BD + DC

    w = 60.0 / tan(49°) + 60.0 / tan(53°)

    w = 97.4 m

    ( b )

    GJ = 5.5 / tan(40°)

    HJ = 5.5 / tan(48°)

    w = GJ - HJ

    w = 5.5 / tan(40°) - 5.5 / tan(48°)

    w = 1.6 m

    You get one question per ticket. Here is the first.

    w

    = AD + DC

    = 60/tan(49°) + 60/tan(53°)

    ≈ 97.4 m
