Cut taxes, stimulant the economy, pay off the debt. That's always the GOP plan but the debt always skyrockets. Why?

Because tax cuts never pay for themselves, plus the GOP also tends to increase spending on the military as well. Gutting revenue and increasing spending leads to deficits, every single time.

This happens because it's simple - even cowardly - to do the easy thing. No one complains about tax cuts, or spending increases. It's the two easiest things a politican can promise. Raising taxes and cutting spending is hard - but if you want a balanced budget, revenues have to be there, and spending has to match it. No other way to do it.

That is where Cons are mislead. Republicans are the biggest debt builder, It can be researched, The Wall Street Journal broke it down in percentages for the last 5 Presidents.

The last person to generate a federal surplus and reduce the national debt was Newt Gingrich's Congress (not Bill Clinton; he was against it). He was rewarded by being thrown out of office by the Democrats in the next election.

Because the budget keeps increasing mostly for reasons that are not easy to act upon due to political and economic factors.

Why? Maybe because we had Obama spending $21 Trillion Dollars so he could hand it out like Halloween Candy to the unions and foreign countries that hate us.

Trickle down economics don't actually work. They cut taxes to corporations that fund their election campaigns.

Most of their time is spent trying to get re-elected.

Trump announced his candidacy before he was sworn in.

MOST of that 'debt' is stashed away in the government bank vaults of a hundred smaller countries and is there to give THEIR LOCAL currency world-wide buying power ...........

Congress refuses to reduce any government expenses at all. They simply won’t do it. Every single bloated giveaway program has people willing to fight tooth and nail to keep it going forever.

Most give away programs are paid for by the people who use them or will use them in the future (S.S. & Medicare) You should have said "Republican's bloated spending"
