That's more of a fourth wave behavior than a third wave behavior, but I suppose both waves do it more than second wave does.
The thing to remember also is that each wave has gotten more absurd with objectification standards. Second wave feminists just focused on things like porn. Third wave expanded the definition of objectification to modeling, cheerleading and beauty contests. Fourth wave expanded the definition even further into just every day comments, clothing choices, and even what men prefer in women.
All of this is however based on a lie. If you look through their complaints you will find that what they really want is to control women and men. They don't want women to become models (unless they're fat), they don't want women to become cheerleaders, they don't want women to enter into beauty contests, they don't want women to do porn, they don't want women to wear certain things, they want to control the speech of men, and they want to control what men find attractive. In short, the whole objectification complaint is a cover to help sell their ideology in a way that makes women the victims and men the aggressors, while at the same time still allowing them to control women and men.
Just look at laws they passed in Europe because of these beliefs that banned skinny women from modeling or pressure they have applied to sports organizations that have caused them to reconsider things like the grind girls in racing. I find it endlessly interesting how ugly feminists and lesbian feminists have so much control over other women, government, and society at large.
The reason they are claiming compliments are objectification is because more often than not they are not getting them, while other women are. The women most likely to get these kind of comments are the least likely to complain for a reason.
