He intends to (personally) get a big payoff from the contractors that build it.

not sure where you got that number but it is nowhere near that high a cost. also the cost of not having a southern border wall and other measures to stop the illegal immigration crisis id exponentially higher

> "border hi"
For those who missed it, "hi" is the American abbreviation for "Hawaii", a constituent state that is a member of the union of the United States since about 1960 or so.
It is a volcanic island chain, and thus the concept of a "Border Hi" refers to the fact that Hawaii forms a natural border between the Western Pacific and the Eastern Pacific regions.
If the Moldovans ever try to conquer Hollywood, their navy will have to breach Hawaii first.

That doesn't make any sense. A mile of the wall they are building should be no where near a billion.
I would like to see your source and a run down on the costs of the project.

It has nothing to do with xenophobia. It is about protecting your border and controlling who does and doesn't come in to your country. Assumedly you have a front door to your house and you lock it at night - is that xenophobic? You have a fence around your garden and don't allow anyone who wants to, to walk in to it and set up their own shit there - is that xenophobic?
The southern border is the same dynamic on a meta level. You've created great things as a nation, but don't take them for granted. Leaving the door wide open means they can be utterly destroyed. Lock your doors and your gates, and only grant access to people who you want there. That goes for your house and your country
Protecting what you have built is worth any amount. Don't fall in to the 'you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone' trap

IMHO, future generations will take down the wall.
